Graphic Designer Position (Junior/Intermediate)

Advertising Agency in Austin Texas looking for a Junior or Intermediate graphic designer skilled in Adobe Creative Cloud to assist in the production of various marketing assets. Must have high proficiency in Photoshop and Illustrator and good eye for design. Will work with our design team in efficiently implementing marketing campaigns across the digital and traditional media spectrum.

Job Description

The Automotive Advertising Agency seeks a Graphic Designer who can help drive the brand look on a variety of diversified accounts. Working at the project level under the direction of the Creative Director and Senior Designer. The Graphic Designer is a fresh creative thinker able to translate and extend concepts into effective digital marketing assets. The Graphic Designer will be responsible for creating and laying out digital ads, email blasts, social media cover/hero/posting images and website hero/headers as well as other digital assets and the occasional traditional print asset. Applicants should have a portfolio showing a keen understanding of layout, visual hierarchy of information and design sense.

Attention to detail and the ability to deliver work at the highest quality standards is essential. You will work within a fast-paced team environment completing all incoming graphic requests relating to new/existing business deliverables and reworks. The Graphic Designer thinks strategically and executes with an eye for detail. This in-office position requires a strong work ethic and time management skills.

Core Duties and Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Art Director and Social Media Director to create and deliver high-quality graphics for all clients, including pitch decks and social media graphics
  • Demonstrate high proficiency in page layout and typography
  • Work collaboratively with team to finalize designs based on client/team direction
  • Contribute to the creation of interactive design concepts through participation in brainstorms and other idea-generating team sessions
  • Do photo retouching and enhancements, animated GIFs
  • Maintain and update monthly digital assets for posting on websites
  • Maintain high quality on creative and presentation deliverables
  • Adhere to all client’s visual design standards and branding guidelines in order to deliver consistency and quality across products
  • Articulate and present thoughts and creative ideas
  • Multi-task and work efficiently under pressure with careful attention to detail
  • Cultivate positive working relationships
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications * Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design or in a related field

  • At least 1 year of experience in Graphic Design
  • Understanding of design principles
  • Confidence and proficiency Mac OS, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Passion for design and eagerness to collaborate with other creative people
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment in which meticulous attention to detail is required
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong time management, organizational skills and able to manage multiple, complex priorities within demanding timeframes
  • Positive mental attitude, team oriented and willing to go the extra mile
  • Be up to date on the latest trends in print and digital marketing

Preferred Qualifications * College degree

  • Agency experience beneficial
  • Knowledge of layout principles and aesthetic design concepts
  • Some knowledge of the automotive industry, specifically the various manufacturers and vehicles beneficial
  • B2B/B2C experience (automotive)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 – $45,000.00 per year
