Job Details:

As a Photography & Media Design Specialist you will produce photography, media, and digital output from concept to completion in support of the Company’s training, promotional, advertising, and other communication needs. This role requires an individual with strong communication and relationship-building skills, serving as a corporate photographer and media resource in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.

Additional job duties include:

  • Implements Federated’s corporate photography strategy including establishing procedures, improving processes, and monitoring photography-related expenses.
  • Serves as a corporate photographer. Produces, maintains, and manages all aspects of company photos of people, objects, and scenery for various print materials and digital output.
  • Identifies, trains, develops, and provides performance feedback to secondary and contract photographers.
  • Manages photography equipment and supplies, including assessing and purchasing new equipment, maintaining current equipment, and evaluating cost-saving opportunities.
  • Evaluates and negotiates photography vendor contracts and relationships.
  • Edits scripts to ensure readability of content, consistency of design, and legal compliance.
  • Effectively operates video equipment and edits video in Adobe’s Suite of tools.
  • Travels to various locations, including policyholders’ businesses, as needed.

Qualifications Required:

  • Two-year degree with photography, fine arts, or a related field preferred.
  • Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record.
  • Prefer 2 years’ work experience in photography demonstrating creativity and ability in photographing people, objects, and scenery.
  • Prefer 1 years’ work experience in graphic design demonstrating design skills and ability to plan, organize, and prioritize multiple projects.
  • Proficient in shooting, lighting and editing photographic/video images.
  • Proficient in use of traditional and modern photography equipment, including film and digital cameras, filters, flash attachments, tripod stands, and lenses.
  • In-depth knowledge of Photoshop CC.
  • In-depth knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, video editing, motion graphics, charting, vector, and raster; conventional offset printing techniques and principles; one color through full-color; and digital output, concepts, and principles.
  • Proficient typing/data entry skills.
  • An unquestioned ability to retain confidential business and personnel information.
  • Portfolio required with photos and corporate design samples of hard copy and electronic files for evaluation.
